Today we started a new tradition at our house. Prompted by this book, I decided to give it a try. Now each year on Valentine's Day I will hang hearts for each kid. On these hearts I have written qualities I notice and love about that child.
I did three for each kid.
Jonah's were red, and the words we chose this year were, "great brother," "funny," and "loving."
Elizabeth's were pink and read "beautiful," "darling," and "sweet."
This year we also had a little gift for them.
Jonah was excited about the hearts and speechless over the movie. It was a great moment...seeing him flummoxed with happiness.
